Jennifer Aniston’s “Mean Moms” Set for May 8, 2015
New Line has dated “Mean Moms” for May 8, 2015, a week after Disney opens “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Jennifer Aniston is in talks to star in “Mean Moms” with veteran TV director Beth McCarthy-Miller helming. Project was set up in 2010 with Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Jill Messick producing for New Line.
“Mean Moms” and Paramount’s 2004 comedy “Mean Girls” are both adapted from advice books for parents penned by Rosalind Wiseman.
The writing team of Sean Anders and John Morris are rewriting “Mean Moms,” which will focus on a happily married mother of two who moves from small-town America to the high-class suburbs and faces the cutthroat world of competitive parenting.
New Line has also set romantic comedy “How to Be Single” for Feb. 12, 2016. Lily Collins is in talks to star and Christian Ditter is attached to direct.
“How to Be Single” is the third title to land on the date following Lionsgate’s “Gods of Egypt” and Universal’s untitled animated Pets project.

Jennifer Aniston In Talks for “Mean Moms”
After successful collaborations with New Line on the hit comedies “Horrible Bosses” and “We’re the Millers,” Jennifer Aniston is in early talks to star in the studio’s upcoming movie “Mean Moms,” multiple individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
New Line had no comment, while a representative for Aniston didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Beth McCarthy-Miller is directing the adaptation of Rosalind Wiseman’s advice book, though New Line has not given the movie an official greenlight yet. Should Aniston’s deal close, the project is expected to move forward quickly.
The adult-themed comedy is in the spirit of “Mean Girls,” and while it is not a sequel in any way, both projects are based on advice books by Wiseman. ”Mean Moms” is based on “Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing With the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make — or Break — Your Child’s Future,” while “Mean Girls” is based on “Queen Bees and Wannabes.”
“Mean Moms” follows a happily married mother of two who moves from a small town to the high class suburbs where she is faced with confronting the cutthroat world of competitive parenting.
Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are producing through their Offspring Entertainment banner along with Jill Messick, who brought the project to Offspring before it landed at New Line.
Aniston is coming off New Line’s “Horrible Bosses” sequel, which hits theaters in November. The first film grossed $209 million worldwide, while New Line’s “We’re the Millers” was the surprise hit of summer 2013, grossing $269 million worldwide. The “Friends” veteran next stars in Dan Schechter’s Elmore Leonard adaptation “Life of Crime” and Peter Bogdanovich’s showbiz comedy “Squirrels to the Nuts.” She’s repped by CAA, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and attorney Craig Jacobson.

Jennifer Aniston Shares Her Health and Beauty Secrets with “Self”
The food I love so much that if I dropped it on the floor, I’d eat it anyway is a nacho. I fry the chips myself. Just take a tortilla, cut it into triangles, and throw ‘em in coconut oil.
My ultimate stress reliever is exercise! And actually meditation. I do that for 20 minutes every day.
The one song that gets me moving without fail is “White Lines,” that old rap song. I made a playlist of all those awesome songs from Jimmy Fallon’s “History of Rap.”
My postworkout beauty ritual is wiping my skin. I always use Aveeno [she's a spokeswoman] Ultra Calming Wipes—they’re easy if you aren’t near a sink.
If I could trade bodies with one person for 24 hours, I’d pick Would I really want to give it back? I’d love to be able to ski like a crazy person, like Lindsey Vonn. Then I’d also like to have Gisele’s body, just ‘cuz, why not?
I know I can beat anyone in Concentration. That’s a good game. And Rock Mahjong! When I had a Megatouch—it’s a wonderful machine with over 100 games—I played that too much. And also Castle Bandits! OK, next question.
No one knows that I can make a great Bloody Mary. It’s actually just Mr. & Mrs. T Bloody Mary Mix! It’s very trailer trash. But it’s the amount of lime, a splash of olive juice and a couple of other secrets I can’t give away.
It’s Sunday morning at 11 a.m. You’ll find me having eggs and a bagel and reading the paper. I start with the front page, then the travel section, arts and leisure or the calendar. How I take my eggs depends on my mood. But I always throw a yolk in there—the yolk’s got a bad rap.
If you want to make me smile There are so many ways. Show me puppy videos. Cute puppy videos.
If yoga didn’t exist, I’d invent it.
When I need extra motivation, I tell myself just do it. You can do anything for an hour.
Before I go to bed, I always wash my face and brush my teeth. I use a mild-scented Aveeno cleanser—I’m not a big scents person—and brush my teeth.
If I had to give up Mexican food for a year or post a selfie on Instagram for a year I’d definitely give up Mexican food for a year. I don’t have Instagram. And I’m not a fan of selfies. I don’t understand them. I feel like there’s enough out there, why add to it?
I’m dying to try India. I wanna explore it.
My world. My rules. I would command everyone to do so many things! Be kind. Oh, I would command everyone to stop buying tabloids! I would command everyone to stop violence.
My friends know that they’ll drive me crazy if they sing along to music! Oh my God, I hate it. I like to hear the song—don’t sing it. Please! I’d record you to sing it if I wanted to hear you sing it.
My guilty pleasure is I have to say, The Voice and America’s Got Talent. The auditions really kind of are fabulous.
If I programmed my own TV network, it would air good news! Just positive stories. Heroic stories. Cute puppy dogs doin’ stuff. Great television shows. I’d bring back all the great television shows from the 70′s. Put Taxi back on the air. Things to make you smile.

Jennifer Aniston Interviews Gloria Steinem at THE MAKERS Conference 2014
Typically, Jennifer Aniston is the one answering the questions, but on Monday, the tables were turned for the actress when she was asked to interview Gloria Steinem.
E! News has exclusively learned the 45-year-old beauty recently participated in THE MAKERS Conference, a two-day event held at Terranea Resort and Spa in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., where 50 of the most innovative and impactful women across varying fields gather to discuss the evolution of the women’s movement.
On Monday evening, Jane Lynch, Marlo Thomas, Sheryl Sandberg and Martha Stewart took their seats in the front row at the small venue, which seated about 100 people, trying to blend into the crowd in order to let the spotlight shine on longtime activist Gloria Steinem.
Kara Swisher of Revere Digital served as the emcee of evening, introducing Aniston in a nonchalant manner before the former Friend took the stage.
The Horrible Bosses star looked flawless in an all-black ensemble, sporting a form-fitting tank, slacks and four-inch peep-toe pumps. She added gold accessories to her classy look, wearing thin gold-framed eye glasses and a long gold chain necklace.
As for her signature locks? Aniston’s hair appeared freshly cut and extension free as the actress rocked a cute bob style.
Justin Theroux’s other half opened by saying, “I don’t do this, I’m an actress” as if to imply she had no idea how to conduct an interview although her poised and confidant demeanor could’ve fooled the entire crowd.
She furthered, “When Makers reached out to me, and when I found out who I’d be interviewing, I of course had to accept.”
The two women bonded over their feminist values and Aniston appeared authentically interested in every word Gloria was saying. At certain points during the interview, she even stopped and asked Gloria to explain things further.
“Being in the public eye, us women come up against this, that our value and worth is dependent on our marital status and or if we’ve procreated,” Aniston said.
“Well, I guess we’re in deep s–t!” Gloria replied laughingly.
To which Aniston echoed, “Well, that’s what I thought, we are in deep s–t!”
Jennifer also applauded Steinem for her efforts, “I thank you and honor you for raising women to have a strong voice,” she said.
Gloria described herself as a “hope-aholic,” which generated a smile from Jen, who exclaimed, “I like that!”
The interview lasted about 20 minutes and all questions were directed at Gloria.
After the interview was over, Aniston gave Gloria a hug and immediately exited the stage.
In addition to the interview, a short video was played at the conference which explained what feminism is about, with the theme being, how can one not be a feminist?
In the inspirational clip, Alicia Keys, Chelsea Handler, Oprah Winfrey, Margret Cho, Katie Couric, and Sara Silverman [all self-proclaimed "makers" a term coined by the organization] expressed what feminism meant to them.
MAKERS is a digital platform for women to showcase their experiences through story, founded by Dyllan McGee and developed by AOL and PBS.

Jennifer Aniston to Star in ‘Cake’
Jennifer Aniston will star in Cake, the first movie in a five-movie $50-million linkup between Chinese TV producer Shenghua Entertainment and After Dark Films under the banner Cinelou Films, the U.S. company said.
“Our goal is to find great material and great talent and let them do what they do best and Shenghua has proven a great partner to make that happen,” said Solomon.
“The formation of Cinelou Films DHJ, and this new venture with Shenghua is a unique pact which allows us to give great projects a chance to be made for the right reasons without many of the usual limitations put on indie films,” said Solomon.
The deal was put together by Solomon and South China Media, under a new production venture between Solomon and Mark Canton (300, 300 Rise Of An Empire, Escape Plan).
Directed by Daniel Barnz, Cake was written by Patrick Tobin and features Aniston as a woman who becomes fascinated by the suicide of a woman in her chronic pain support group.
Pascal Borno and Scott Karol’s Conquistador Entertainment is handling sales on Cake at the EFM in Berlin.
“We very much want to be a bridge between Hollywood and the greater China market and this investment is a key way of doing this,” said Yu Wei-Chung, chairman of Shenghua Entertainment said.
