Jennifer Aniston Opens Up on Aging, Style, & Perfect Hair
    Posted on Aug 9th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Interviews , News   •   0 Comments   •

I have been a fan of Jennifer Aniston’s forever. I love her cool, laid-back style; from her hair to her clothes she really does make it all look so easy. Because I’ve admired Jennifer so much from afar — she’s my favorite actress — I was actually a little nervous to interview her. She couldn’t have been more fun and open during our chat. She dished on everything from how her fiancé, Justin Theroux, would feel if she went under the knife to why she thinks that aging is awesome. Read on for Jennifer’s candid interview.

BB: I have never been more nervous in my life — can I tell you why?

    JA: [Laughs.] Sure!

BB: Everyone always asks me, who is your style icon? And it’s you!

    JA: Are you kidding me?

BB: No! I tear pictures out of all those awful magazines with you walking down the street with your awesome hair and perfect T-shirt and cool jeans. It is such a unstyle, but it is my style.

JA: You know what that is? It’s just called laziness.

BB: No it’s not, it is perfection — you make it look so easy. Anyway, it’s a girl crush.

JA: You are so awesome, thank you so much. I am such a fan of your makeup and have been forever. I literally had to say it three times, “OK, Bobbi Brown is interviewing me? The makeup artist?” I want you to do my makeup!

BB: It would be a dream, but honestly I would probably tell you that you don’t need any.

    JA: Oh you don’t know…

BB: I know. OK good, so you have to tell me what T-shirts and jeans you love, and about the blazers you always wear. I want to know everything.

JA: This is my secret: The trick to T-shirts is I that I usually tailor them. Which is silly, but it works. Or you just have to find the perfect one. James Perse has really great T-shirts and tank tops, Theory is great for T-shirts and basics, and for jeans, I have these Genetic jeans that they don’t even make anymore. I take the pockets off of Hudson jeans, because I like the fit, but not the pockets. Helmut Lang does a good skinny jean, too. And I wear Saint Laurent jackets.

BB: I have always wanted to ask you if your stylist Christopher McMillan lives with you. How does your hair always look like that? Do you wake up with perfect hair?

JA: Oh god no! Right now it is in a sweaty ponytail because I just worked out, but my hair is usually better the day after; it always looks better with that slept-in look. And Chris doesn’t live with me; I wish he did. I’ve learned a lot from Chris and I have become very handy with a hair dryer and a round brush.

BB: Tell me more about the Living Proof products. They are absolutely amazing; my hair got really dry from going into the ocean and honestly, they saved me. They’re excellent!

JA: Have you discovered the Restore Mask yet? That’s a game changer. I do it every Sunday because I do highlight my hair. The one thing with hair, as we get older, is it doesn’t necessarily react as beautifully as it used to when we were in our 20s, which I never knew. Did you know that, that hair ages?

BB: I am learning that now unfortunately. It grows thinner.

    JA: [Laughs.] It loses weight.

BB: Your body doesn’t get thinner, but your hair does. That’s how I know God is not a woman.

JA: I also love the beach spray because it doesn’t have drying elements in the ingredients. There is no silicone in any of the Living Proof products. That’s the trick. Most other products are great at first—there is that love affair period where your hair just loves it, and then, after a while, it just starts breaking. And you have to wash it everyday because all this silicone attracts all this dirt and oil so your hair feels dirty the next day. That is the thing that feels so great; the products really do what they promise.

BB: You don’t seem to age! What is your secret?

JA: My dad is 100 percent Greek; he turned 81 and he barely has a wrinkle. And neither does my grandmother, who was 95 when she died. But it’s also just water, drinking a lot of water, using really nice good products for your face. Don’t overproduct, that’s the other thing. Getting proper sleep is always important.

BB: I read that you are really healthy, you exercise, and you eat good food, too.

JA: I have a Greek salad in front of me, but I also indulge. Oh my god there’s a balance.

BB: So tell me how you balance it, because I kind of get crazy when I go up and down with weight. How do you do it? Do you eat bread ever?

JA: Yes definitely! I just had a bagel. I usually give myself bread on the weekends, but really, my body doesn’t love carbs. These days, if I was being super picky, I would love to drop 5 pounds. That is just where I have always been really comfortable at about 110 to 113 pounds. But it is harder at this age.

BB: One of the reasons I took this job at Yahoo Beauty is because all my years being a makeup artist I’ve been interested in the self-esteem issues women face. I wonder what it’s like from your perspective. What is it like walking out your door and constantly being photographed? How do you deal with seeing good — and bad — paparazzi pictures of yourself? How does it affect your self-esteem?

JA: The truth is you just go, “If they get a picture, that picture comes and goes, so who cares?” Then you have 30 mean people who sit at their computers and spend their entire day picking apart and insulting celebrities about how ugly they are just so they can feel better — I guess — about themselves. I don’t understand it. There is also this pressure in Hollywood to be ageless. I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting s**t into my face.

    BB: Yay!

JA: No honestly, I see them and my heart breaks. I think, “Oh god if you only know how much older you look.” They are trying to stop the clock and all you can see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age. I also have a fiancé; who will put a gun to my head if I touch my face in any way.

BB: My husband is the same way. When I feel that I am not looking as young and fresh as I like—usually after a night of tequila and bread—I will put extra moisturizer and face oil on my skin so that whatever lines are in my face look better. It is just about being hydrated; that has been my secret.

JA: Well, that’s true, it’s hydration, and there are also so many things that women can do today with technology in terms of LED light therapy, good lasers that tighten the muscles, and massages for your face—and don’t forget great creams. I think that’s the route to go. I also understand that age is kind of awesome. I am fortunate enough to know women like Gloria Steinem, who I think is one of the most stunning women on the planet, and doesn’t touch her face. Diane Keaton, Annette Bening, all of these fabulous fearless women who are flawless, they embrace it! You know, to each their own; I don’t judge it if you do it, but sometimes I wish I could beg the people I know, who I am very near and dear to, to not touch their face.

BB: I think we should encourage women to just be happy with who they are and look in the mirror less.

JA: Look in the mirror less, yes. I also just read that Charlotte Rampling, who is almost 70 years old, is going to be the face of NARS, I think that’s awesome! I think fashion people need to start incorporating all ages, not just these 20-something perfect people, or not just for anti-aging [ads]. Represent beauty in all ages! You know what I mean?

BB: I do know and I think it is amazing to have someone who is so well known be such a great voice of this movement. And it is a movement, I have talked to Gloria Steinem about it. You are great role model thank you so much for such a great interview! I can’t wait to meet in person.

Justin Theroux Explains Why He and Jennifer Aniston Give Out Eggs as Presents
    Posted on Jul 29th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Articles , News   •   0 Comments   •

When you imagine getting a present from Jennifer Aniston, you can’t help but envision receiving a fab designer bag or a must-have, organic skin cream. A basket of eggs on the other hand? Not so much. But that’s exactly what you might get, as her fiancé Justin Theroux revealed during a visit to Chelsea Lately on Monday night.

While chatting with Aniston’s longtime pal Chelsea Handler, he explained that when they visit friends’ homes they give their hosts eggs as gifts because they have about 10 chickens at the house. And “each of them lays a couple [of eggs] a day, so we have too many of them,” he said. The star of HBO’s The Leftovers joked that while people think it’s a sweet farm-to-table gesture on their part, it’s actually just because they’re “slipping on eggs at the house.”

Hey, if you’re going to get eggs as a present, it would be pretty cool to get them from Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. Watch the clip here and listen to the Chelsea Lately host explain why she has never received any eggs from the famous pair. (Hint: it’s not because she and Justin are feuding, as some tabloids would lead you to believe.)

Justin Theroux Jokes About His “Three-Headed Baby” With Jennifer Aniston and Talks Tabloid Troubles
    Posted on Jul 25th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Articles , News   •   1 Comment   •

ustin Theroux took a dramatic turn with The Leftovers, but he’s still got a sense of humor.

These days, the 42-year-old TV star’s ability to laugh is especially commendable, given that the tabloids frequently write about his two-year engagement to Jennifer Aniston as if it were a real-life soap opera.

“I can’t get over how terrible the narrative is, just how poorly written it is,” he says in Elle’s August 2014 issue. “It’s worse than a telenovela. It’s so dramatic. Like, ‘They’re broken up, they’re together, they’re storming out, storming in, rushing out, rushing in.’ They make every celebrity look like a schizophrenic.”

From the moment he began dating his Wanderlust co-star, Theroux admits, “My life changed a lot. More people are like, ‘Hey, man!’ And I don’t think that’s from my role in John Adams. But it only changed as much as I engaged with it, and I learned very quickly: Don’t ever engage with it. Just JKL. It was a learning curve, but it wasn’t as traumatic as you might expect. It’s just annoying. Occasionally you’ll get a stewardess congratulating you, on, I don’t know, whatever, some three-headed baby we just had.”

Though his relationship with Aniston is under the microscope, Theroux has managed to keep an air of mystery. In fact, when the interviewer mentions she’ll ask about his fiancée, he replies, “You can try!”

Thankfully, Amy Sedaris—who met Theroux through mutual friend Philip Seymour Hoffman—lifts the veil for Elle. “Justin’s got this dark side—he’ll go there. But more than anyone I’ve ever met, he just really does blossom with sunshine,” the comedic actress says. Taking it a step further, she reveals, “Justin is like a girlfriend. He’ll do girly things with you: He’ll tan, he’ll put your makeup on for you, he gives great advice.”

Bet you won’t find those anecdotes in the tabloids!

Jennifer Aniston Calls Justin Theroux a “Lost Gem in the Sand,” Says He Gets Hotter With Age
    Posted on Jul 25th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Articles , Interviews , News   •   0 Comments   •

Some men age like a fine wine, and according to Jennifer Aniston, her fiancé Justin Theroux is doing just that.

The 45-year-old star recently gushed about her hubby-to-be at a party held in his honor by Details magazine.

The Leftovers actor graces the cover of this month’s issue and looks pretty darn hot with his sultry gaze and signature slicked-back locks.

“He’s just so beautiful and handsome to me,” told said to Women’s Wear Daily at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

“I love that his eyeballs are so beautiful captured because those eyes just knock me out every day,” she added.

“He just gets better every year. He’s just like a lost gem in the sand, and he’s always been there and been brilliant, and now this is just in a different light.”

Aniston’s BFF Courteney Cox—who attended the party with her fiancé Johnny McDaid—also put her stamp of approval on Theroux’s Details shoot, saying, “There’s no better cover boy than [him]. He’s so handsome and cool.

Cox and Aniston were also spotted out on the town with Lisa Kudrow last night.

The three ladies grabbed a bite to eat at Los Angeles hot spot Craig’s early in the evening and were all seen leaving separately.

There’s no doubt they gabbed about the men in their lives!

Jennifer Aniston Launches Her Second Fragrance — All the Details!
    Posted on Jul 25th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   News   •   0 Comments   •

    anistonperfume2

It’s taken more than three years, but Jennifer Aniston’s second fragrance is here!

Jennifer launched her first eponymous fragrance back in 2011, and now she’s back with another fresh and crisp scent for the season: J by Jennifer Aniston.

The perfume is bright, clean and refreshing—basically, imagine if you could bottle the beach. Her new fragrance has gorgeous notes of magnolia, freesia and sandalwood.

This is just the kind of effortless blend of scents that we would expect from the consistently classic Jennifer Aniston. Nothing too heavy or overly-flowery from her—not a chance.

The shape of the bottle is almost identical to her first, with the exception of its sea blue color—totally reminiscent of the ocean.

Jennifer somehow always manages to look like she just came back from a relaxing walk alongside the beach, her hair getting gently misted by the sea spray. So we’d say this scent is pretty much perfect for her.

Not to mention, we kind of like that she made us wait a few years. Some celebs roll out their new scents one after the next, but Jennifer took her time with this one—meaning it’s gotta be good.

Justin Theroux Says Being With Jennifer Aniston “Doesn’t Feel Difficult,” Wonders Why All the Fuss Over a Couple in Love
    Posted on Jul 25th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Articles , News   •   0 Comments   •

Justin Theroux’s lady makes him happy.

So it’s nice to hear that happiness isn’t tempered by the built-in challenges of being in a super-high-profile relationship.

“It doesn’t feel like a hardship,” the star of HBO’s The Leftovers said about being with Jennifer Aniston in the August issue of Details, featuring the solemn-faced actor-writer-artist on the cover. “It doesn’t feel difficult.”

But aren’t the paparazzi, for lack of a better word, annoying?

“It can be an annoyance, but it’s not the end of the world,” Theroux told the magazine. “You have to center on what its core thing is, which is that you met someone you fell in love with. It’s hard to explain. I just find myself wondering, What’s the big f–king deal?”

Big f–king deal, indeed. Way to not let the madding crowd get you down, Justin!

As for the written words that tend to accompany all those paparazzi pictures in the tabloids, Jen’s 42-year-old fiancé said that “it’s always based on fiction.”

“You just kind of ignore it,” he continued, “but then you also become reluctant to say anything about the relationship. I could say everything’s good, and then it’s reflected back as ‘JUSTIN THEROUX: EVERYTHING’S GOOD?’ That just creates this echo chamber, and it ricochets around the internet, it just gets wacky.”

But he and Aniston soldier on. And from our perspective, being with Theroux doesn’t look like such a tough proposition either, at least based solely on his ripped physique.

The 42-year-old showed off the results of all that time he spends in the gym for Details as well, cutting an impressive shirtless figure, his six-pack abs and muscled arms rippling for the camera.

Theroux, who starred with Aniston in Wanderlust and now stars in a very dark cable series, playing a suburban sheriff who’s trying to keep it together after 2 percent of the world’s population inexplicably disappeared, also talked about transitioning between comedy and drama.

Or seeing the comedy in the drama.

“There are certain actors who can grab a woman by the back of her hair and plant a deep one on her and say something like ‘We gotta save the world,’” he intoned, “and that’s not me. I can’t not be outside of my body, making jokes about that dialogue. Some people do it really well and effectively because they have the charisma to pull that off. I just know that I don’t.”

Asked about not being the most recognizable face in the acting pack throughout most of his career, Theroux said that he honestly hasn’t minded flying under the radar.

“There’s a huge distinction between wanting to act and wanting to be a famous actor,” the Washington, D.C., native and nephew of famed author Paul Theroux said.

“Most of the people that jump off buses in Hollywood just want to f–king ‘make it.’ And I never had that drive. Honestly. I could never visualize myself in that way. To me it seemed so cart-before-the-horse-y.

“I still think a long, slow road is always the better road. Or at least for me it’s been the better road.”

(Something to remember for all those wondering when that wedding is going to happen.)

Justin Theroux Smolders in Interview Magazine, Says Happiness Is “My Lady” Jennifer Aniston
    Posted on Jul 25th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Articles , News   •   0 Comments   •

Justin Theroux has officially adapted to the Los Angeles way of life.

The 42-year-old actor, who smolders in a new photo shoot for Interview magazine, opened up the publication about the pros and cons of living in L.A., his first foray into the acting world and his workout regime, in addition to revealing whether he sleeps in the nude (Jennifer Aniston, you are one lucky lady!).

And no surprise, the sexy stud, who currently stars in the HBO series The Leftovers, instantly has us swooning as gives insight into his personal life.

Theroux dishes on his upbringing in Washington, D.C., and reveals that he wasn’t good student growing up, attending a nontraditional school until he reached the fourth grade.

“I went to a Rudolf Steiner school—they’re awful,” he says. “They’re still around, these experimental schools that started in the 1920s, no grades, no real classes. It was all knitting and beeswax-making—s–t like that. Then after my parents got divorced, I had to go right into public school in the fourth grade. The Steiner school had never really taught me how to read, so it was a rude awakening. I was playing catch-up the whole time.”

The Wanderlust star, who struggled with academics, quickly discovered his passion for acting and pursued the craft from an early age.

“I was always acting,” he reveals when asked when he first began performing. “I was doing after-school plays and stuff like that. But I wasn’t doing well in any of the schools, so by ninth or tenth grade, I ended up going to a boarding school. D.C. is a hard city to grow up in. I couldn’t find my footing there. Also, I got a late start academically, and I was dyslexic.”

Theroux has since found his footing, splitting his time between L.A. and NYC, which he says is “kind of perfect.”

“That’s always been a goal, to be bicoastal in a real way,” he says while admitting that he has learned to love Los Angeles.

“I like all the clichés. I mean, I love someone who lives in Los Angeles—so that’s a big draw,” he says, referring to fiancée Aniston. “But I love the weather. It does feel like a slightly healthier lifestyle, being able to hike and do all that crap.”

As evidenced by his hunky figure, Theroux clearly keeps up with his fitness regime. So how does he stay so smokin’ hot?

“I like to work out in the afternoon, around three or four,” he reveals. “I just don’t like to wake up and sweat. I’d rather have a cup of coffee. In New York I used to just be more active. I’d always ride my bike everywhere or skateboard everywhere, walk, whatever. Then I started going to the gym.”

Adding further fuel to his hotness factor? The actor’s revelation that he “always” sleeps in the nude.

As for what happiness means to the hunky thesp?

“My dogs…” he says, “And my lady, of course.”

We repeat: Jennifer Aniston, you are one lucky gal.

Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux on Their Wedding: ‘We Have Hot Feet’
    Posted on Jun 25th, 2014   •   By Eric   •   Articles , News   •   0 Comments   •

It sounds as if Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have the opposite of cold feet when it comes to marriage.

“We have hot feet, but we’re not going to let you guys know,” Theroux told Extra Monday night at the premiere of his new HBO series The Leftovers. “We’re still happily engaged.”

The happy couple, dressed in matching black at the red carpet event, was also spotted at Barneys in New York City.

Theroux, 42, called his fiancée of almost two years “gorgeous” at the premiere of the show, which debuts Sunday (10 p.m. ET).

The actor also said at the premiere of The Leftovers – which is about a global Rapture-like event, in which some people disappear and others are left behind – that he would want to take his longtime love with him to the afterlife if he were ever taken or left behind.

“That’s who I’d want to bring back,” he said of Aniston, 45. “That’s who I’d want to bring with me.”
