She’s certainly a creature of habit – and why change a good thing?
Jennifer Aniston headed to one of her favorite getaway spots, Los Cabos, Mexico, where the actress is getting a jump start celebrating her 41st birthday – Aniston’s big day is actually Feb. 11 – with a group of friends. But this year, she had a surprise birthday guest: Gerard Butler, her costar in the upcoming comedy, The Bounty Hunter. Last month, the two were spotted laughing and spending a lot of time together at the Golden Globes.
Aniston flew a large group of pals including Butler, Courteney Cox, her husband David Arquette and Sheryl Crow, whose birthday is also Feb. 11, to a resort Thursday evening where the group is staying in a beautiful waterfront villa.
Friday, there was one thing on the agenda: fun in the sun! Aniston showed off her famously fabulous figure in a bikini as the pals lounged on the patio.

While she certainly hasn’t had the best of luck in the love department, recent reports tell that Jennifer Aniston is looking for a man that has nothing to do with show business.
An insider tells Us magazine of the “Along Came Polly” actress’ plan, “She wants to be set up with a wealthy businessman, not a celebrity.”
Meanwhile, friends of the beloved actress aren’t all that sure that she’ll live up to her new agenda of landing an “older, mature man.”
A source tells, “She always ends up drifting back to actors and musicians. Her friends want a normal guy, but she’s drawn to the attention.”
On a hillside overlooking Beverly Hills is a house that “vibrates with the love that created it,” says its owner, actress Jennifer Aniston.
“I want to say this just right,” she muses. “I am so proud of this house. And I want to celebrate the people who made it: the master craftsmen who poured so much of themselves into its creation.” Not the least of these is designer Stephen Shadley, who worked with her on the project for nearly two and a half years. “I’ll be lucky if I ever do anything with this kind of team and freedom again,” raves the designer. “It was a project without a problem.”
The designer has collaborated with Diane Keaton on two of her residences in Southern California (see Architectural Digest, November 2008 and April 2005) and one in Arizona (see Architectural Digest, April 1998) and with Woody Allen on the interiors of his apartment in New York City (see Architectural Digest, November 2008). He and Aniston had come close to working together on two other residences.
“I’d heard about this place, and when I saw it, I loved it. I knew it was my métier,” he explains. The house, which was designed by architect Harold W. Levitt in 1970, was under renovation at the time and was, Shadley recalls, “in rough shape. We essentially tore the house apart and rebuilt it.”

If the recent, extensive renovation of Jennifer Aniston’s Beverly Hills home is any indication, it doesn’t seem like the actress is in any rush to settle down.
In the March issue of Architectural Digest – which features photos of the house by Scott Frances, following its 2½-year overhaul – the magazine notes that the master suite is no longer guy-friendly.
“[The house] originally had his-and-hers baths, but Aniston has turned the ‘his’ into a spa bath with a soaking tub,” the magazine reports. Her master bedroom features a wool-and-silk shag carpet, and a platform bed with a TV at the foot.
And Aniston, 40, even describes the Zen-influenced home – whose palette was drawn from Brazilian cumaru (teak) – in an affectionate way. “It’s like a big hug,” she says in the issue, on sale Feb. 9.
Built on a hillside in 1970 with sweeping views of the city, Aniston calls the house “Ohana,” a reference to the Hawaiian idea of extended family. She says the single-level home “vibrates with the love that created it.” Among those who worked with Aniston was designer Stephen Shadley, who also has collaborated with Diane Keaton and Woody Allen.
The house features Aniston’s fruitwood Sauter piano from the 1960s, a dining room that seats 24, and a 1920s Thai gong to summon diners to the long walnut table.
“I entertain for a living, and I entertain,” she says. “The house has a rather glamorous, old-fashioned Hollywood quality. I can just imagine the Rat Pack stopping by; someone is playing the piano, and people are laughing in the next room.”

JENNIFER Aniston decided to change her diet after realizing she had gotten a little on the “heavy” side.
The actress says although she’s keen to stay in shape, she refuses to cut out “fun” foods — such as cheeseburgers — no matter how fattening they might be.
“I hate that self-worth is metered by your weight,” said the 40-year-old singleton. “I didn’t even sense I was heavy until someone told me.
“Now I watch my foods, but salad and fruit is no fun, so I won’t not eat a cheeseburger.”
Aniston recently denied reports she’s planning to open her own Mexican restaurant.
