If the recent, extensive renovation of Jennifer Aniston’s Beverly Hills home is any indication, it doesn’t seem like the actress is in any rush to settle down.
In the March issue of Architectural Digest – which features photos of the house by Scott Frances, following its 2½-year overhaul – the magazine notes that the master suite is no longer guy-friendly.
“[The house] originally had his-and-hers baths, but Aniston has turned the ‘his’ into a spa bath with a soaking tub,” the magazine reports. Her master bedroom features a wool-and-silk shag carpet, and a platform bed with a TV at the foot.
And Aniston, 40, even describes the Zen-influenced home – whose palette was drawn from Brazilian cumaru (teak) – in an affectionate way. “It’s like a big hug,” she says in the issue, on sale Feb. 9.
Built on a hillside in 1970 with sweeping views of the city, Aniston calls the house “Ohana,” a reference to the Hawaiian idea of extended family. She says the single-level home “vibrates with the love that created it.” Among those who worked with Aniston was designer Stephen Shadley, who also has collaborated with Diane Keaton and Woody Allen.
The house features Aniston’s fruitwood Sauter piano from the 1960s, a dining room that seats 24, and a 1920s Thai gong to summon diners to the long walnut table.
“I entertain for a living, and I entertain,” she says. “The house has a rather glamorous, old-fashioned Hollywood quality. I can just imagine the Rat Pack stopping by; someone is playing the piano, and people are laughing in the next room.”

Jennifer Aniston must like confinement. We reported yesterday her involvement in a Gerard Butler romantic comedy set in prison, and now we have a bit more info on her other jail-themed flick, “Goree Girls.”
According to the erstwhile “Friends” star, the film — based on a true story — will find Aniston teaming with other female inmates to start a country western band, which quickly becomes nationally popular. Asked if her vocal chops are up for the job, she was quick to point out that didn’t really matter. “I’m not supposed to know how to really sing,” she replied.
Jen is looking hot on the January issue of GQ Magazine, but I gotta say, her face looks weird. Maybe it’s the resolution of the picture, or maybe they’ve just gotta stop photoshopping stuff. Anyway, I’ll post scans when I have them.

December 10, 2008 – Jennifer Aniston stripped to just a bright striped necktie as cover girl for the January issue of GQ.
In the accompanying interview, the 39-year-old actress was as forthright as she is naked on the cover.
She talked about her current romance with rocker John Mayer, 30, as well as the breakup of her marriage with Brad Pitt.
“I am not having his baby. And I have not popped the question,” she said of John Mayer.
But she is pretty sure about how she feels about him.
“Honestly, did not know much about him before I met him. I’d heard … you know, uh ‘Your Body’ – that song. But what I can say is that I had no idea what an extraordinary musician he is. And it’s just great to sit and be witness to that. It’s kind of like, Whoa!”
Aniston also referred to the controversy surrounding Angelina Jolie’s dramatic admission in an interview to NY Time, that she would like to add Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) to the list of nearly three dozen movies that her children have seen because “not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love.”
When asked to comment on the report, Aniston replied after a pause:
“Well, you know, that was definitely a confirmation for me of something that wasn’t quite confirmed at the time,” Jennifer told the GQ scribe. “But listen… You sit there and you… No. No daggers through the heart. I laugh. Am I surprised? Well, how do I say this?… Considering the source, nothing surprises me.”
Aniston confirmed that she and Pitt occasionally exchange pleasantries.
“We don’t not talk. When there’s something to congratulate or celebrate, there’s always an exchange,” she said. “But there’s no charge on it.”
She confirmed she does not speak with Jolie.
She then joking conjured a scenario of her out with Jolie and Pitt saying:
“The funny thing is, people don’t realize we all go away to The Hamptons on the weekends.
“Can you imagine?” she continued. “That’d be hysterical: I’ve got Zahara on my hip, and Knox…”
