With two great new roles and a body that won’t quit, Jennifer Aniston is reinventing what it means to be 40 and female in Hollywood.

Here she comes, in faded cutoffs and a tank top. Has there ever been a more casual star? A more unrepentant Southern California girl? I am standing in the midst of the dust and chaos—the clattering hammers, the buzzing saws—of the massive construction project that is Jennifer Aniston’s sprawling new Beverly Hills home. It is midday in late September, and Aniston is picking her way through the site. As she heads toward me she looks comfortingly—almost defiantly—the same as she always has. Long, sun-streaked hair. Check. Tanned yoga body. Check. Toe rings and hippie beads. Check. There will be no moody movie-star transformations, no fresh tattoos to prove how unpredictable she is.When I arrived a few moments earlier, a big, genial security guy helped me park my car among all the construction vehicles and then took me to an office where a man named Phil introduced himself as Aniston’s “estate manager.” An elegant fellow with a British accent, he is a holdover from her only slightly more grand life with Brad Pitt, when they owned a 12,000-square-foot Normandy mansion not far from here and a big spread in Santa Barbara. “He’s very…Phil,” says Aniston with a laugh. She stops for a second and, as she so often does, rethinks out loud. “Maybe we don’t mention that I have an estate manager.” And then: “He’s more like the butler.”
This article is a little tended to speculation, Jen said “He [the Vogue journalist] asked me a question and I, basically, just answered it as honestly as I could,” Aniston said in a taped interview Thursday. “I don’t go there. It’s a 100 years old.”. It’s always nice to have the full quote, and not just one phrase
Jennifer Aniston called Angelina Jolie “very uncool” in her new Vogue interview.
But when Oprah asked Jennifer on her show today about calling Jolie’s remarks about falling in love with her then-husband Brad Pitt “really uncool,” her defense was that she responded to the reporter’s question.
“I basically just answered it as honestly as I could,” Aniston says on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Yeah, because stars NEVER say “I don’t want to discuss my personal life” or “Next question.”
All this comes as her film is about to open and has stirred up interest in in her divorce from Brad Pitt. And while it’s great publicity for Aniston, it’s become pretty annoying to Brad and Angelina.
Brad and Angelina were said to be “totally thrown” by Aniston’s Vogue interview, thinking she had already ”moved on … and wouldn’t want to reopen this old wound,” a close source told the Chicago Sun-Times, adding that Pitt had personally called Aniston to voice his displeasure.
Aniston’s spokesman has refused to comment to the Sun-Times on the alleged Pitt call. The e-mailed response? ”That’s personal information. … That really is no one’s business.”
On Oprah today, Aniston also said that she feels she’s been “unbelievably lucky with love.”
Wow, I shudder to think what her unlucky looks like.
Jennifer also insists she has no feelings of competition with her ex, whose Oscar-buzzed movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” just happens to open the same darn day (what are the chances?) as her upcoming film, “Marley and Me.”
“We all want our movie to do well. … Can we have a tie?” Jennifer joked on the show.
Hahahahaha. No, we can’t.
And surprise, guess who else showed up on Oprah today? No, besides Beyonce.
You guessed it, Jennifer’s “Marley and Me” costar Owen Wilson.
What do you think? Is Jennifer milking the Brangelina affair to boost her own box-office? Has she opened a hornets nest?
Angelina Jolie recently told the press that she and Brad Pitt fell in love during the filming of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
And even though it’s been four whole years since her divorce from Brad, Jennifer Aniston thinks Angie should keep such intimate information to herself. Then she proceeds to fan the flames of the catfight by spilling secrets of her own in the upcoming December issue of Vogue.
Blazing headline on the new Vogue cover: “What Angelina did was very uncool.”
Inside the mag, Aniston complains that Jolie went too far in outlining the exact timeline of her relationship with Pitt on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
“There was stuff printed that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston says of the Jolie interview, which appeared in Vogue about two years ago. “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss.”
“That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”
Despite this, Jen says her split with Brad was not that horrible.
“I mean, in the end, we really had an amicable split,” she tells Vogue. “It wasn’t mean and hateful and all of this stuff that they tried to create about Brad can’t talk to Jen and Jen can’t talk to Brad because this person won’t allow it. It just didn’t happen. The marriage didn’t work out. And pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we’ve been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other.”
Aniston and Pitt even talk once in a while. “We have exchanged a few very kind hellos and wishing you wells and sending you love and congratulations on your babies I have nothing but absolute admiration for him, and…I’m proud of him! I think he’s really done some amazing things.”
A source tells the the London Daily Mail that this interview shows that Jennifer is no longer afraid of Angelina.
But she’s also fearless in talking about her new home, her romantic life and her relationship with her parents. About John Mayer’s blabbing to the press about their breakup, she says “Trust me, you’ll never see that happen again from that man.”
Tough talk. The source adds, ” ‘This certainly raises the bar on celebrity profiles. Jennifer opens up about her sex life, her career and her feelings about life after her divorce. ‘She must have had a lot on her mind, because she lets go on everything.’
Either that or she’s desperately trying to make her new film, “Marley & Me” a hit and save her romantic comedy movie career.
What do you think? Has Jen been silent long enough? Is she finally willing to take on Angelina? Should she?
She certainly looks amazing on the Vogue cover! You go, Jen!
